CCENT Certification Preparation
Preparation for the CCENT exam is quite necessary in one'IT life. People who currently have jobs in the networking field where they have some experience with Cisco equipment. If that be the case then by studying for a few hours every single day you could take the CCENT Exam after only one month.
Some people took the CCNA exam 10 years ago and think they can take it quickly, but a lot has changed is 10 years and the current CCNA and CCENT exams are much harder now. They also contain a lot more information such as wireless, cable, dsl, and IPv6 which just weren't around one decade ago.
You may be an absolute beginner at networking. And if that be the case then I would allow yourself at least 6 months to prepare. And I mean 6 months of diligent study day after day. Don't just casually study for 5 months and then cram in the end.
Cisco Exams are tough, and for a good reason too. Because they are hard to pass, employers know that you know your stuff and will be much more willing to hire you over the other guy applying for the job. And as you continue to progress in your Cisco Studies you will become more and more valuable.
When you are preparing for the CCENT Exam I recommend that you set aside a certain amount a time to study every single day. See if you can find blocks of an hour our two each day. If you can become diligent enough each day to study for a couple of hours you will be amazed at how much progress you can achieve.
Also as you begin studying for you exam begin to think about how you will be able to pay for it. The CCENT Exam costs $125 USD which can be hard for some people to afford. But I know if you are passionate about getting Cisco Certified you will find a way to make it happen. I encourage you to pay for the exam early, or as soon as possible, because as soon as you fork over that $125 dollars your study habits will improve substantially.
What ever you do try not to take days off of studying for you CCENT Exam because days quickly turn into weeks and you end up wasting valuable time. You are supposed to be consistent to study a little bit each day. Be consistent and pioneering. |
